Preschool Inclusion

Synonymous to the Mustard Seed Programme for students at primary level and above, we offer alternative modes of learning for preschoolers who are unable to thrive within the mainstream school environment at that age as well. Challenging behaviours can emerge in their early stages and it is important to find an intervention early.

Why is early intervention important?

The preschool inclusion programme is suitable for kindies who:

  • Have mild to moderate language / developmental delay who needs additional support within his/her preschool coupled with therapy within our centre.

  • Children who are with mild to moderate Autism Spectrum Disorder would benefit from an inclusive setting as well as intensive therapy.

With the child's critical years in mind, the preschool inclusion programme brings multi-disciplinary input from our own therapists, doctors in an early childhood education as well as Shadow Support for the additional aid within the preschool itself. Some of the preschools we currently work with are Swallows and Amazons, Preschool for Multiple Intelligences (PMI) and others.

We are very honoured to have Dr. Yang Chien-Hui to be working closely alongside the students and schools in this programme. She has been devoting her career to studying and helping those with special needs. Dr. Yang has been featured in media extensively as an expert in Special Education and Early Childhood Education.  She has published and peer-reviewed a variety of journal articles, 24 international/local conference presentations, and one book chapter in the United States, and has been featured in TV interviews and news media in Singapore.
