Dr. Yang Chien-Hui obtained her initial teaching certificate and Bachelor’s degree in special education in Taiwan and served as a special education teacher for adolescents with special needs. She pursued Master’s and Doctoral degrees in Early Childhood and Special Education at the University of Kansas, U.S.A. In the United States, she worked at several inclusive preschool classrooms and learned about best practices to ensure successful inclusion for children with different special needs needs (including Autism, ADHD, dyslexia, physical and multiple disabilities, Global developmental delays, hearing impairment, visual impairment, and behavioural disorders).
After Chienhui served as an assistant professor for Missouri State University (U.S.A.), she worked for NIE/NTU and SUSS, and later became an independent consultant. Chienhui is passionate about supporting children with delays and special needs in early childhood and primary settings in Singapore. She has served in expert panel on local TV programme and conducted media interviews.
